Johannesburg, South Africa — One of South Africa’s most celebrated women’s sporting events has received a major vote of confidence, with Foschini extending its partnership with the Totalsports Women’s Race for a further three years, reaffirming its commitment to empowering women through sport, wellness and meaningful experiences.

The renewed agreement, announced by Stillwater Sports, will see Foschini remain an official partner of the iconic Women’s Month event from 2026 through to 2028, strengthening a collaboration that has become synonymous with celebrating women both on and off the race course.

The 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race will once again take place across three major cities, beginning in Durban on Sunday, 2 August, followed by Cape Town on Sunday, 9 August, before concluding in Johannesburg on Sunday, 16 August.

More than a road-running event, the Totalsports Women’s Race has established itself as a nationwide celebration of female strength, unity and wellbeing, bringing together thousands of women each year to inspire healthier lifestyles while supporting an important cause.

Stillwater Sports Managing Director Michael Meyer welcomed the renewed partnership, describing Foschini as an integral part of the race’s continued success.

“Foschini has become an important member of the Totalsports Women’s Race family, and we are delighted to welcome them back for another three years,” said Meyer.

“Their passion for empowering women and creating meaningful connections has significantly enhanced the event experience. The beauty products included in last year’s race packs were exceptionally well received, and participants can look forward to even more exciting Foschini products in the years ahead. Together, we remain committed to celebrating women, promoting healthy lifestyles and creating unforgettable experiences in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.”

For Foschini, the extended partnership reflects a broader brand purpose centred on celebrating women through fashion, beauty, lifestyle and authentic experiences that extend beyond retail.

Head of Marketing Reneé New said the collaboration aligns perfectly with the brand’s mission.

“As Foschini, we are passionate about celebrating women and showing up for them in ways that are authentic, inspiring and meaningful. The Totalsports Women’s Race embodies these values by creating a space where women can connect, move, celebrate and support one another. We are incredibly proud to continue this partnership and look forward to enhancing the race experience with exciting products and memorable moments.”

Totalsports also believes the partnership strengthens an event that continues to evolve into far more than a competitive road race.

“The Totalsports Women’s Race is about much more than crossing a finish line,” said Totalsports Head of Marketing Nikki Crous.

“It’s about celebrating women, fostering connection and creating an experience that leaves every participant feeling inspired and empowered. Foschini shares these values wholeheartedly, making this partnership a natural fit. Together, we look forward to delivering even more exciting experiences across all three host cities.”

Beyond the running itself, the 2026 edition promises an exciting festival atmosphere.

South African music sensation Busiswa will headline live performances in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg, entertaining participants and supporters after the race with her signature blend of Kwaito, House, Gqom, Amapiano and Afropop.

The event will also continue its longstanding partnership with PinkDrive, the non-profit organisation dedicated to breast cancer awareness, education and providing free screening services to medically uninsured South Africans, ensuring that every kilometre completed contributes to a meaningful social cause.

Demand for the race remains exceptionally strong. Entries for both the Cape Town and Johannesburg events have already sold out, while Durban entries remain open until 27 July 2026, or until capacity is reached.

As anticipation builds for another memorable Women’s Month celebration, the renewed partnership between Foschini and the Totalsports Women’s Race signals a shared commitment to inspiring women through sport, celebrating community, and creating experiences that extend well beyond race day.

With thousands expected to take to the streets across South Africa this August, the event once again promises to combine fitness, entertainment, empowerment and purpose in one of the country’s most anticipated sporting celebrations.
