With tickets eagerly sought after, this exclusive concert follows Matshikiza’s recent critically acclaimed performance of Verdi’s Aida in Sicily. Before her return to Johannesburg, the celebrated artist will be appearing at the prestigious Palazzo Farnese in Rome on September 22, where she will further showcase her exquisite talents.

Earlier in the week, on September 24, Matshikiza will be honoured as part of Joburg City Theatres’ 45th Anniversary Gala at the Roodepoort Theatre. Recognised for her profound contributions to the arts, she will be inducted into the prestigious Wall of Fame, alongside artists who have made indelible marks on the theatre’s rich history. “Being inducted into the Roodepoort Theatre’s Wall of Fame is a deeply humbling honour,” Matshikiza shared. “This theatre holds a special place in my heart, and to be recognised for contributing to its legacy is a moment I’ll cherish forever.”
In addition to her concert performance, Matshikiza is committed to nurturing the next generation of musical talent.
