JOHANNESBURG – Reboost Energy Drink has reinforced its commitment to township economic development by investing in local entrepreneurs through its inaugural partnership with the Lerato Lamola Winter Games, creating new income-generating opportunities for small businesses in Tembisa.
The month-long sporting tournament served not only as a celebration of community football but also as a platform for entrepreneurship, enabling local vendors to benefit from increased foot traffic while building sustainable businesses.
As part of the initiative, Reboost Energy Drink supplied participating vendors with stock at reduced prices, allowing them to generate additional income by selling the beverages to spectators throughout the tournament. The programme was designed to strengthen township enterprises while encouraging entrepreneurship at grassroots level.
To recognise outstanding business performance, Masilo Mongingi was crowned the top-performing vendor after recording the highest sales during the competition. Mongingi received a R5,000 cash prize to reinvest in the business, providing a valuable boost for future growth and expansion.
Expressing gratitude after receiving the award, Mongingi praised the initiative for creating meaningful opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs.
