Ugandan Olympic champion Joshua Cheptegei dominated the Durban 10K, crossing the finish line in 27:19, with Kenya’s Doreen Cherop taking the women’s honours in 30:43.
The Cape Town 10K, originally scheduled for May, was cancelled due to severe weather conditions.
With both the Tshwane and Joburg races already sold out, the continued popularity of the Series underscores South Africa’s growing passion for road running and healthy lifestyles.
