JOHANNESBURG – Award-winning African music powerhouse TRESOR has officially joined the stellar line-up of the highly anticipated Scatterlings Music Festival, set to take place on 1 August 2026 at Huddle Park.
The announcement adds even more excitement to what is already shaping up to be one of South Africa’s most significant live music and cultural events of the year, bringing together some of the country’s most celebrated artists for an unforgettable celebration of music, heritage and unity.
Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential contemporary musicians, TRESOR has built an impressive career spanning chart-topping albums, global collaborations and multiple industry accolades. The singer, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur has consistently elevated African music on the international stage through acclaimed projects such as VII, The Beautiful Madness and Nostalgia.
Known for hit songs including Mount Everest, Never Let Me Go and Sondela, the multi-platinum artist is expected to deliver one of the festival’s most memorable performances.
Speaking about his participation, TRESOR expressed his enthusiasm for the event and its broader cultural significance.
“Scatterlings feels like a celebration of who we are as Africans and how music connects us beyond language, culture, or background,” he said. “To be part of something that brings together so many incredible artists and audiences in one space is really special. Johannesburg crowds always bring unmatched energy, so I’m looking forward to creating a memorable moment together.”
The festival boasts an extraordinary line-up featuring Grammy Award-winning artist Zakes Bantwini, alongside Sjava, Sun-El Musician, Msaki, Jesse Clegg, Simmy, J’Something, Sminofu and Zolani Mahola, among others.
Conceptualised and curated by Jesse Clegg and Msaki, the Scatterlings Music Festival seeks to create a unique platform where established and emerging artists come together to celebrate South Africa’s rich cultural identity through music.
“On 1 August, Scatterlings Music Festival comes to life as thousands gather for a one-night-only celebration of music and meaning,” said Jesse Clegg. “It’s about bringing people together again through music that has always connected us.”
Beyond its impressive line-up, the festival aims to showcase the diversity, creativity and storytelling that define South African music, creating an immersive experience that transcends genres and generations.
With early bird ticket sales now closed and anticipation continuing to build, organisers expect demand to surge as music fans secure their place at what promises to be one of the standout entertainment events of 2026.
As Johannesburg prepares to host this landmark gathering of musical talent, TRESOR’s inclusion further cements Scatterlings Music Festival as a must-attend celebration of African artistry, connection and cultural pride.
