The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon — one of South Africa’s most iconic road-running events — has opened the door for runners who missed the initial entry window to still secure their place on the start line. But this is no ordinary entry opportunity. The 2026 Charity Entry Programme invites athletes to lace up not only for personal achievement, but for impact, empowerment, and lives changed across the country.

For many, the race has always been a test of endurance. This year, it becomes a test of heart.

“TTOM has always been about more than just the race; it is about the people, the communities, and the shared spirit that make this event so special,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.
“By choosing a Charity Entry, runners are directly contributing to the upliftment of causes that have a real, lasting impact.”

35 Charities, One Start Line, Thousands of Lives Changed

The response to the Charity Programme was remarkable — 69 applications submitted, each representing a cause worth running for. After a fair, rigorous evaluation, 35 official charity partners have been selected for 2026. These include organisations driving change in cancer support, childhood development, animal welfare, education, disability inclusion, mental health, and more.

Some of the 2026 partners include:

  • CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA
  • Play4Good Foundation
  • Cape of Good Hope SPCA
  • Operation Smile South Africa
  • Kids Haven
  • I Love Boobies
  • Goldilocks and the Bear Foundation
  • The Pebbles Project Trust
  • Summits With A Purpose NPC
  • Spirit Education Foundation NPC
  • Woodside Special Care Centre

…and 24 other remarkable causes, each offering limited entries.

Every step on race day becomes fuel for funding, awareness, and real impact — making every kilometre more meaningful than the last.

Over R2 Million Expected to Be Raised — One Step, One Story at a Time

The first phase of the charity drive is expected to generate over R2 million, funds that will be channelled directly into community upliftment and life-improving work around South Africa. Runners simply choose a partner charity, purchase a charity entry through them, and secure their place in the race while contributing to something greater.

Charity entries are limited and charity-managed — meaning pricing, availability, and entry processes may differ. Runners are strongly encouraged to contact their chosen charity quickly to avoid missing out.
