Orlando Pirates continued their impressive run in the 2025 Betway Premiership with a commanding 2–0 win over Chippa United, securing all three points in front of an electric home crowd on Tuesday evening.
A disciplined and assertive performance saw the Buccaneers maintain their pursuit of the league title, as goals from Evidence Makgopa and Oswin Appollis sealed the victory. Pirates dominated key phases of play, combining an organised midfield with creative attacking sequences that kept the Chippa defence on constant alert.
Makgopa opened the scoring midway through the first half, connecting with a well-timed finish after sustained pressure from the hosts. The momentum continued into the second half, with Appollis delivering a decisive strike that doubled the lead and put the result firmly beyond reach.
