Celebrating Strength and Unity
Organisers say the opening of entries marks the beginning of a meaningful journey that extends beyond sport.
Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports, emphasised the inclusive nature of the event, noting that it provides a platform for women to come together in celebration of movement, connection, and personal achievement.
At the same time, the race continues to play a role in advancing social impact. The 2026 edition will once again support PinkDrive, contributing to breast cancer awareness initiatives and promoting early detection through community outreach.
Elite Competition Meets Community Spirit
While the race is widely known for its vibrant and accessible atmosphere, it also attracts top-tier athletes. The multi-city format creates a competitive platform for elite runners, adding a high-performance dimension to an event rooted in participation and inclusivity.
Totalsports Head of Marketing Nikki Crous highlighted the unique character of each host city, pointing to Durban’s coastal setting, Cape Town’s scenic routes, and Johannesburg’s energetic urban environment as key elements that shape the experience.
