Charlotte du Plessis, the founder and CEO of the Woman of Stature Foundation, is a passionate leader and certified Neuro Coach who has dedicated her life to advancing women’s empowerment in South Africa. A Journey of Reinvention and Vision
Born in 1956 in Springs, Johannesburg, Charlotte started her career in the airline industry and spent over three decades in travel and tourism. At the age of 50, she transitioned into entrepreneurship by starting her own events company. This bold career shift laid the foundation for her life’s calling—to help other women realise their full potential.
Woman of Stature Foundation: A Platform for Empowerment
Established in 2013 and formally registered as a non-profit in 2018, the Woman of Stature Foundation is committed to the social and economic development of women. Through mentorship, leadership training, and business development support, the foundation equips women with the tools they need to succeed.
One of its signature initiatives, the Woman Rise Programme, provides guidance and resources for women in transition—whether in business or life. It also includes Accelerate-Her, a focused effort to grow small, women-owned enterprises through coaching and financial literacy training.

Charlotte is also the visionary behind the Woman of Stature Awards, a prestigious annual event that celebrates exceptional women in various fields. With over 700 nominations in 2025 alone, the awards highlight women’s contributions in sectors such as technology, media, leadership, and community development. For Charlotte, the awards are more than accolades—they are a platform to spotlight role models and inspire future change makers.
Professional Collective Summit 2025
In July 2025, the Foundation will host the Professional Collective Summit under the theme “Wholeness – The Optimum You.” The summit brings together thought leaders and industry professionals to explore themes of self-discovery, wellness, leadership, and entrepreneurship—empowering women to live more balanced and impactful lives.
