In a night steeped in inspiration and solidarity, influential media personality and entrepreneur Inno Morolong was honoured with a prestigious recognition award at the Fourth Annual Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awards on Saturday, 31st May 2025, at the Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg. The event, hosted by the Tshegofatsa Rona Welfare & Community Organization, resonated under the empowering theme: “Together We Can Make a Difference.”
Morolong was recognised for her bravery, resilience, and unwavering advocacy in the fight against gender-based violence. A survivor herself, she has used her platform to raise awareness, empower women, and support efforts to bring justice to victims and survivors across South Africa.
“Being recognised tonight is not just a personal honour—it’s a victory for every woman who has survived violence and found the courage to keep going,” said Morolong during her heartfelt acceptance speech. “I stand here on behalf of all those still fighting to be heard, healed, and free. We are not alone.”*
