The dignity of the House of Lords was showcased under the gracious hosting of FLAIR Patron Baroness Verma, while Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP presided over the FLAIR Debate at the House of Commons, setting the scene for robust discussions that followed.

The diverse agenda of the Summit featured powerful keynote addresses and panel discussions that delved into crucial topics of economic empowerment, sustainable investment, health innovation, and digital transformation across Africa. This collaborative platform ignited meaningful dialogues that fostered partnerships aimed at driving progress.

The finale, the FLAIR Awards Dinner, recognised and celebrated extraordinary individuals and organisations for their significant contributions to empowering women and advancing sustainable development across the continent. Olori Atuwatse III reflected on the Summit’s impact, stating, “FLAIR has proven to be a beacon for African women leaders and a platform for real change. It is an honour to support this vital movement.” Furthermore, Prof. H.E. Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq expressed that the Summit has forged invaluable connections and collaborations that will profoundly benefit generations of women and girls across Africa.

Bridgette Motsepe echoed these sentiments, affirming her pride in standing with FLAIR to unlock Africa’s potential through deliberate empowerment initiatives. Co-Founder Dr. Yvonne Thompson CBE DL reported that “the FLAIR Summit 2025 has surpassed all expectations,” and has set an ambitious foundation for future gatherings aimed at uplifting African women and girls.

Plans are already in motion for the next edition of the FLAIR Summit, with even more ambitious goals established to build on this year’s extraordinary achievements. The momentum created at this inaugural Summit promises to redefine Africa’s leadership narrative and strengthen the continent’s commitment to unity and empowerment.
