The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) has announced Cipla as its Official Recovery Partner, marking the beginning of a three-year partnership set to elevate athlete care and wellness at one of South Africa’s most iconic sporting events. The collaboration, commencing in 2026, brings together two organisations deeply committed to performance, wellbeing and community impact. Founded in 1935, Cipla is a global pharmaceutical company guided by its purpose of “Caring for Life” — a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with the ethos of the world-renowned marathon.
Enhancing the Runner Experience
Welcoming the partnership, Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC, said Cipla’s involvement strengthens the event’s commitment to supporting runners beyond the finish line.

A Major Boost to Athlete Care
Wade Bromfield, General Manager of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon, described the partnership as a significant step forward in elevating the overall race experience.

More than 200 professional therapists will be deployed across race week, providing much-needed recovery assistance and reinforcing the event’s commitment to athlete health and performance.

A Landmark Event on the Running Calendar
The 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon takes place over three days:
- Friday, 10 April 2026 – Trail Run
- Saturday, 11 April 2026 – Ultra Marathon
- Sunday, 12 April 2026 – Half Marathon
Often referred to as “the world’s most beautiful marathon”, the event draws thousands of local and international runners each year, showcasing Cape Town’s breathtaking coastline and mountain scenery.

As part of its continued commitment to improving runner experience, the organisers have also announced several new enhancements for 2026:
- All Ultra Marathon, Half Marathon and Trail Run entrants will receive an exclusive event T-shirt included in their entry fee.
- Every participant will receive a limited-edition pair of TTOM-branded Versus Quarter Running Socks.
- Blue Number Club (BNC) members will enjoy new premium rewards and benefits throughout race weekend.
