JOHANNESBURG, 9 OCTOBER 2026 — South African DJ and multi-platinum music producer Abidoza is turning up the tempo with the release of Club Controller, an eight-track Amapiano EP that shifts the spotlight towards high-energy production, collaborative creativity and music designed to ignite dancefloors.
Featuring an impressive line-up of collaborators, including Djy Vino, KMAT, Tumza D’kota, EI. Stephano, Trixx and Calvin Fallo, the project explores a more energetic, club-focused dimension of Abidoza’s artistry.
The EP follows the September releases of Club What, featuring Djy Vino, and Chomi, a collaboration with Djy Vino and KMAT featuring Trixx. Those singles offered an introduction to the project’s direction, with the full collection now bringing the sound together across eight tracks.
A new energy from a familiar Amapiano name
Abidoza has built his reputation on a smooth, soulful approach to Amapiano, with songs such as Baby Boy, Siyathandana and Dinaledi helping establish his distinctive musical identity.
With Club Controller, the producer explores a different atmosphere, placing greater emphasis on energetic arrangements, DJ-friendly sounds and the collective experience of the dancefloor.
The shift does not abandon the musical sensibility that has defined his work. Instead, the EP broadens his creative range, giving him room to experiment with different collaborators and sounds while maintaining his connection to Amapiano.
The result is a project designed to move between streaming platforms, DJ sets and live dancefloor environments.

Collaboration at the heart of the project
The EP brings together artists whose contributions give the collection a varied character, with each track offering a different entry point into its club-focused sound.
Djy Vino features prominently through Club What and Chomi, while KMAT and Trixx contribute to the latter collaboration. Tumza D’kota appears on both Batlore Tswenya and Just Like That, while EI. Stephano joins Abidoza on the title track, Controller. Calvin Fallo features on City Rains.
For Abidoza, bringing different creative voices into the project was central to its development.
“With Club Controller, I wanted to put together music that brings a certain energy. Each track has its own vibe, and having these different artists come into the mix made the project even more exciting,” says Abidoza.
He added that he was looking forward to hearing how audiences and DJs respond to the completed body of work.
“Now that the full EP is out, I can’t wait for people to get into it, for DJs to pick up the tracks and for the music to find its way onto the dancefloor,” he says.

Inside the Club Controller tracklist
The eight-track EP moves through a sequence of collaborations and individual productions, creating a varied listening experience while keeping the dancefloor firmly in focus.

Together, the tracks present a project rooted in collaboration and shaped around the different settings in which Amapiano thrives — from personal listening to DJ sets and packed dancefloors.
Taking Amapiano into the club
As Amapiano continues to fuel South Africa’s music culture, projects such as Club Controller highlight the genre’s adaptability and the importance of producers who can move between different moods and settings.
For Abidoza, the EP offers an opportunity to place his performance identity as a DJ alongside the soulful production that has become associated with his catalogue.
Its club-oriented direction also invites DJs to explore the tracks in their sets, extending the project beyond the initial release and into the spaces where the music can be experienced collectively.
With its roster of collaborators and emphasis on energetic production, Club Controller signals another chapter in Abidoza’s musical journey — one focused on experimentation, shared creativity and keeping the dancefloor moving.
Eight tracks. A heavyweight collaborative line-up. One mission: put the dancefloor under Abidoza’s control.
Club Controller is available now on major digital streaming platforms.
